For scientists: If you track you symptoms stucturally over time, scientists can study the progression of the disease in different scenario's like what generally happens after the start of a certain treatment. - Treatments: We collect what treatments you are doing so scientists can measure the effectiveness of the treatment. - Diagnosis: We collect what diagnosis you were given so scientists can differentiate between people with differrent levels of medical validation. - Year of birth: We collect your year of birth as a rough estimate of your age so scientists can differentiate between people who are young and old. - Circumstances around getting sick: Did you see the tick or red ring before you got sick? This is to measure how these events are related to the progress of the disease. - Disease related activities: Did you like being in nature for Lyme's disease? And what about now? This is to both measure the relatability of these events as well as to see if getting sick changed your behaviour and outlook on life. Your identification data is stored in a different save location (database) then your disease related personal data. This means that scientists who get access to your information (after you gave permission) can't ever connect what data belongs to you.
